Kingston in Solidarity with Gaza

The image is of a protest held in Kingston to show solidarity with Gaza. Description of image below.

[This image is a picture of the previous peaceful protest in Kingston for Solidarity with Gaza. There is a large group of people standing and chanting. They are standing in front of Kingston city hall. Several of them are carrying signs for the protest, including one that is all white with black text and reads ‘Gaza: Israel’s Shooting Gallery’]

WHAT: Protests are being organized in cities around the world to respond to the ongoing collective punishment of Palestinians in Gaza. Since Israel’s offensive in the Gaza Strip began on July 8th, the Israeli Defense Forces have killed upwards of 1900 Palestinians and have wounded 9500. They continue to destroy homes, displacing over 240,000 victims to date. We cannot stand idly by as this deathly cycle of violence and injustice perpetuates itself over and over again, so we call on you to stand in solidarity with the people of Gaza.

Our last protest at City Hall drew a crowd of over 350 Kingstonians and we expect even more this time. Bring Palestinian flags, banners, and your voices! Spread the word, Gaza needs you.

WHEN AND WHERE: We will be gathering in Market Square at 5.30 pm on Friday August 8th.
