WHAT: As a follow up to the Drawing Together event held on Sun Feb 1st, there will be a foodshare and discussion for people who identify as Indigenous, people of colour or mixed race. We will use this opportunity to:
– hear from members of our communities regarding their experiences of racism in Kingston
– talk about the anti-racism work that various groups are currently doing
– talk about how to build on and complement current work
This event is for Indigenous people, people of colour and mixed race people only. Children are welcome to attend, though please note that no formal child-minding will take place. A vegetarian meal will be served and some foods might contain gluten. You are welcome but not required to bring food to share. For more information please contact germinations(at)riseup(dot)net.
We hope to see you there!
