Monthly, our reading working-group organizes a reading group at either the Grey House, the Autonomous Social Centre, or the Kingston Public Library where we choose and discuss a book that is relevant to our mandate. The working group name recently was changed from ‘Feminist Reading Group’ to ‘Levana Reads’
This year, the theme of the reading group is science fiction and social justice (Levana Reads: Sci-Fi and Social Justice)
*** The next reading group will take place in October of 2018. For the most recent updates, check out our facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/levanaGAC/
Past events have included reading books such as Angela Davis: An Autobiography, One Hundred Demons, Drag King Dreams, Sister Mine, The Hunger Games, Written on the Body; Americanah, and more!
If you are interested in reading a particular book, contact us and let us know! Events are open to students and the community.
