[Image is a poster for the event. In orange and blue text it reads ‘Planting the Seeds: A Social Justice Fair Get involved in social justice and community organizing initiatives on campus & in town! October 8 3-5pm in Wallace Hall (JDUC)’. In the bottom left corner there are three blue plants with hands for flowers. The background is a beige-green colour’.]
WHAT: Planting the Seeds: A Social Justice Fair is a bit like the annual Clubs Night, but you don’t have to filter through booths to get to the social justice and community organizing work you’re looking for! Come check out various groups and organizations on campus and in town doing social justice work, meet progressive folks in the community, and eat some free catered snacks!
WHERE AND WHEN:Come out to Wallace Hall in the JDUC anytime from 3pm to 5pm on October 8th!
If you are a group or organization involved in social justice and organizing and are interested in having a booth at the fair, please contact us at levanacentre@gmail.com.
Also: for those with an interest in progressive community at Queen’s and in Kingston, please check out the full list of events in September and October for Rad Frosh here (a radical disability politics workshop, a panel on Indigenous resistance, and more!), and Queerientation here.
